Does anybody use an external HTML editor for designing their Website Tonight pages, ie. CoffeeCup? I find the HTML editors in GoDaddy cumbersome sometimes. For instance, I want to view some images on my local drive before I upload them to GoDaddy to test them? Of course the more inexpensive the better (free?). Or, can anybody suggest a way to test my HTML code in Godaddy other than inside an object HTML window?

Thanks.

@tmatys,
WebSite Tonight does not allow you to edit the HTML of the page through an external editor. You can change the HTML in the content of the page, but we render the full HTML based on the template chosen, the page layout and the content you have entered.

The control over the HTML comes from the content editor. When you edit a block, you can change the HTML inline by clicking on the HTML tab below the content block.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

It does make sense to me. Thanks. But sometimes we upload our own images and flash stuff. I’d like to test it prior to uploading. In case after I upload it I have an issue. I can possibly save time by checking it before I upload the image, or whatever it is to GoDaddy.

Thank-You.

@tmatys,
You can definitely upload and use your own HTML code and your own Flash files. You can upload and test it in the designer before you publish it to make sure it looks right before anyone else sees it. You can also delete files after you have uploaded them through WST as well, so there is no need to worry if it doesn’t work.

Let us know if you have other questions.
Thanks.
