I was updating content in an article on our website http://www.pikefootball.com when I hit a wrong button and deleted all content in the entire section. I did an restore/back up and kept the website from changing. However, when I re-enter the page design area it still shows the content area as empty. what can I do to restore the content in the design/edit area?

Unless the data was backed up, there is no way to recover any deleted information. Until you publish, the live site will not change, as the information in the page builder is different.
