Questions about WST-Generated Sitemaps
michaelvqs said 1 year ago:
So WST automatically generates the sitemap for google and other search engines. Do we WST customers have access to the actual sitemap.xml file? When I check my sitemap on Google Webmaster Tools it shows a different URL than my homepage URL which is http://www.casadoschivos.com. Google shows this as my sitemap:
So my question is: Why does the WST-generated sitemap show the <loc> as: <loc>http://www.casadoschivos.com/Casa_Dos_Chivos.php</loc> and not <loc>http://www.casadoschivos.com</loc>? Can I edit my sitemap? If so, how?

@michaelvqs – You can view your sitemap at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
Website Tonight automatically creates this file, and it is based on the actual filenames. This can not be changed, but you can change the filenames by clicking Page > Properties > Page in the toolbar.
You can however edit the Priority (vs other pages in your site, not vs other sites) and Change frequency:

#Nate D: Thanks. The problem is I don’t have a page named “http://www.casadoschivos.com/Casa_Dos_Chivos.php”. Where did WST get this url from?

@michaelvqs
The “http://www.casadoschivos.com/Casa_Dos_Chivos.php” page seems to be the file name for your home page. When browsing your site, you would not see this file name as it is used as your homepage. As @Nate D suggested, you can edit this file name from the Page Properties. You can also manage the file names using the Organize site option. Further information on this can be reviewed in this article:
