Should I add Google Analytics script in each block on page?

I’ve just added the Google Analytics script to each page of my website using the script drag and drop in Page Designer. I’m not sure if it is working yet as it appears visits are not updated automatically in Google Analytics reports.
I placed the script in the drop zone at the bottom of the block. However, in some pages I have several blocks. Should I being adding the script to every block in order for google analytics to be able to track that portion of the page. For instance, on my home page, the script has only been placed in the left column block. I have a right column, a column below both the right and left columns and a find us on Facebook block. Advice would be much appreciated.

I recommend adding your Google Analytics script to the footer of any of your pages. The footer is a shared content block by default so content added will display on each of your pages automatically.
Once the script is added, you’ll want to make sure to publish the site again so the changes are posted online.

Just wanted to check in and make sure you were able to get the tracking code working.
Keep us posted!

Thanks for following up Adam. When you say put the script in the footer do you mean the copywrite block or the web builder block below the copywrite block. In either case, I’m unable to get the script icon to drag and drop into either of those blocks and provide a “drop zone.” I am currently getting stats from putting the script into the blocks of text. However, in the pages where I have more than one block I don’t have it in each block such as my home page and I believe that means I’m not getting accurate data.
When I have to go into the advanced CSS to get it into the footer?

The footer area of Website Builder will display just above the ‘Powered by Website Builder’ logo. To add a script block to this area, you’ll want to click within the footer content block and then click on the ‘Script’ button. You will not need to drag and drop. The script will only needs to be in one section of your pages and CSS will not be required.
