Hi everyone!

I just wanted to update this thread and let you know this issue has been fully resolved. If you are still receiving any errors, please provide us your domain name and any error you’re receiving so we can investigate this further.

Thanks!

I am very upset. I worked all morning revising my site. Then out of the blue things started going wonky. I saved my work. Now when I upload the save work all of the images are gone…ALL. And a strange set of tools for the block has appeared right in the middle of everything. I can move it but not get rid of it. I am afrai to make a move because I keep hoping that somehow my work can be found somewhere. And what’s with this tool bar. I don’t want it on the page.

I’m not getting errors, but it’s also NOT publishing. Could you folks stop noodling in WST without letting folks know? encore-coda.com is the domain I’m working on, for my client

@Bibienna

I’m going to do some research on the tool bar issue that you described and see what information I can find on this. I appreciate your patience while I dig a little deeper into this.

@JKD

The issue with publishing WebSite Tonight is resolved. What’s happening when you try to publish, as you say you’re not receiving any errors? Have you tried different browsers, or clearing your cache and cookies? You may wish to reach out to our Support Team directly so they can look into your account.

@Vintage Scarf

If you’ve contacted Support and they have provided you a 72 hour time frame, it’s likely that your issue is unrelated and has been escalated to our Advanced Technicians for a resolution. I’m confident that our Support Team will work this out for you, thanks for your patience!

@Baillee… I am WELL familiar with the WST interface (I’m writing a manual for my own clients about WST’s quirks and also undocumented “best practices” for using it).

Here’s what happens: I click “publish” After anywhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes (which is fine, it’s a large site), I get the publishing options pane (Publish Updates or Publish All, and the option to backup site before publishing). So far so good. Click EITHER (I’ve tried it both ways) “Publish Updates” OR “Publish ALL” (plus I always choose to backup). Then the “please wait” bar, which never resolves to the grey status update pane (where the time shows in the upper right and the number of files in the lower right), and never gets to the “publishing complete and the options to visit the site or go to page designer.

Interestingly, despite the endless waiting pane this afternoon, the site updates DID publish. But I only could tell this by checking the Publish History.

Still it is frustrating.

And YES — I do know to clear cache. I’ve also done it in Safari, FF (Mac OSX 10.6.6)and IE8 on a PC running WinXP, just to be sure.

Mostly okay, for now. I have found that WST is quirky about publishing, and seems to have “issues” more than once a month in the past 6 months at least. Since this is also around the time some of the design upgrades took place, I wonder if there isn’t some bug between old and new that hangs up publishing only when “just the right” random combination of factors occurs.
