I’m new at this, so I need as much help as possible. I want to create pages on my website that will link to photos. For example, I want to describe an item for sale and then have you be able to click on the description and bring up a photo of the item. Any suggestions?

@audreyb If you want to sell items, Quick Shopping Cart provides this type of setup by default. The user would be able to click on an item in order to view a description and image of the item:
