I have a similar problem. I purchased domain and hosting from godaddy. I successfully installed wordpress. It gave me the link http://www.funnyenglish.co/wordpress/wp-admin to access my admin panel. however, when I try to access my admin panel it gives the error,ever feel you are in a wrong place and 404 error. I mailed the godaddy, they gave me some instructions and I applied them. The instructions was about the nameservers. However after doing the instructions it said you have to wait 2 or 48 hours. Now, 48 hours is going to pass. I couldn’t understand anything. After 48 hours could I be able to access my site (wordpress) login?
Another of my question could I change wordpress from funnyenglish.co/wordpress to the root (funnyenglish.co)
Thank you very much

@idealist2000 – It appears the problem is you already have the domain associated with a different product at Go Daddy, which is InstantPage. The domain would need to be removed from the other product before you can use hosting:

For your other question, since you used the Hosting Connection, it would be best to uninstall WordPress and then reinstall into the proper directory. During the installation it asks which folder, make sure this field is blank to install WordPress to yourdomain.com…

The information @Nate D provided is exactly what you need. You will want to point the domain’s A record to the IP address of your hosting account. If you haven’t done much work on the site, the easiest way to get Wordpress to the root of your hosting account is by uninstalling/re-installing the application.

I am going to do your instructions. However I have also written an online support question. I am also waiting their reply.
I believe I will be able to find this forum post 1 hour later.
Thank you very much.

At your instructions, I had to find and write my site ip address at the last step. I found the ip address (v1.86.1218.0) and I have written it as 18.61.21.80 . The system accepted. I found the IP address near the godaddy logo of the page.
Did I do the correct steps? Please inform me. I am still waiting. It said that it may take 1 to 48 hours to complete.
Thank you very much

@idealist2000
What you are referring to is the version of the Hosting Control Center. The IP address of your hosting account will be listed in the middle of the screen under the ‘Server’ section.
