Warning: I am a web marketer and my site design/html/css knowledge is limited.

I have a client who has built her own site, using Godaddy Hosting, via the free Mac site builder.
Through our conversations about SEO, we agreed that moving the site to Wordpress would be of benefit…but the kicker is, she wants to maintain all of the current data and aesthetics of the existing site.

If we move the site to WordPress, can this be done…easily? If so, how?

It doesn’t look like there’s really a set way to do this, but I was able to find this article that may help you:

Other than that, I think you’ll need to do quite a bit of manipulation to find templates and customization to fit the way the previous site looked.

Thanks Christian.

I have read that article since initially posting this question and it also appears that there is a free download that will allow the client to convert imac to wordpress. NOTE: I have yet to use the download and will post a follow up if there are issues.

I just didn’t know if Godaddy being in the mix would throw things off.

Will include link for those who might read this later.

@wesman70,

Thank you for the update. Sounds like you might be on the right track for converting your client’s existing site to a WordPress site. Do keep us posted on how the conversion turns out.
