Using Hosted Exchange Email with Apple Mail
Beginning with Mac OS X® 10.6 Snow Leopard, Apple Mail provides Hosted Exchange
Before continuing, you must know which version of Exchange your mailbox uses. For more information, see Finding Your Hosted Exchange Email Version.
To Use Apple Mail with Hosted Exchange Email

- Launch Mail.
- From the Mail menu, select Preferences.
- Click Create an Account (+ symbol).
- Complete the following fields, and then click Continue.
- Full Name — The name to display on your email.
- Email Address — Your Hosted Exchange email address.
- Password — Your email account password.
- If your
domain does not have Auto-discover enabled, complete the following fields, and then click Continue.- Account Type — Exchange 2007 or 2010
- Incoming Mail Server:
- Exchange 2007 — mail.ex1.secureserver.net
- Exchange 2010 — mail.ex2.secureserver.net, mail.ex3.secureserver.net, or mail.ex4.secureserver.net
- User Name — Your full Hosted Exchange email address.
- Password — Your email account password.
- Click Create.
