Creating New Directories Using the FTP File Manager

NOTE: Before you start, click here to see which version of the FTP File Manager is in your Control Panel. This help article applies to the Classic FTP File Manager. If you are using the New FTP File Manager, see Creating New Files and Folders Using the File Manager

To Create New Directories Using the FTP File Manager

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Web Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
  4. From the Tools section, click FTP File Manager.
  5. Use the directory tree to navigate to where you want the directory to reside.
  6. Click the Create New Directory button.
  7. Enter the new directory name you want to use.
  8. Click OK.

The new directory will now be created with the new name you selected.
