How does domain kiting affect my backordered domain name?
If another registrant acquires your backordered domain name, the registrant might be testing it for monetization purposes and might cancel the registration within the five-day grace period. We continue to watch your backordered domain and attempt to acquire it when a cancellation occurs, or, if it's listed for auction, we provide you with instructions on how to participate in the auction. If you cancel the backorder during the grace period, we cannot register the domain for you if the registrant cancels the registration. To take advantage of your backorder, leave your backorder in place until five days after the domain's Create Date. For more information, see Viewing Your Backordered and Monitored Domain Names .
