How do I resend the transfer IDs to my updated admin email address?

When you purchase a domain name transfer to us, we send the transfer IDs required to complete the transfer to your administrative contact's (admin) email address as listed in the Whois database. For information about changing this email address, see How do I change my admin email address at my current registrar?

NOTE: We send transfer IDs and a confirmation email to the registrant contact's email address associated with .au domain names.

If you recently changed your admin email address at your current registrar, you can resend the transfer IDs to it from your account with us. If your account with us is not displaying the correct admin email address after you change it at your current registrar, you can update our records and then resend the transfer IDs.

Resending Transfer IDs to Your Admin Email Address

After you change your admin email address at your current registrar and the new version displays in the Whois database (which can take up to 48 hours), you can resend the transfer IDs to it from your account with us.

NOTE: If your old admin email address is still displaying on the Pending Transfers page in your account with us, see the next section to update our records.

To Resend Transfer IDs to Your Admin Email Address

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
  3. NOTE: If the Launch button does not display for you, from the Domains menu, select Domain Management.

  4. From Domains, select Transfers.
  5. Select the domain name(s) you want to resend the transfer IDs for.
  6. From Get Transfer IDs, select Resend Transfer IDs to Admin Email Address. The Update Contact Information window displays.
  7. Click OK. We resend the transfer IDs to your admin email address.
  8. Click OK.

Updating Our Records and Resending Transfer IDs to Your Admin Email Address

If you changed your admin email address at your current registrar and the new version is displaying in the Whois database (which can take up to 48 hours) but the old version is still displaying in your account with us, you can update our records and resend the transfer IDs to your admin email address.

To Update Our Records and Resend Transfer IDs to Your Admin Email Address

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Next to Domains, click Launch.
  3. NOTE: If the Launch button does not display for you, from the Domains menu, select Domain Management.

  4. From the Domains menu, select Transfers. The Pending Transfers page displays.
  5. Select the domain name(s) you want to update our records for.
  6. From Get Transfer IDs, select Update Admin Email Address. The Update Contact Information window displays.

    NOTE: Alternatively, you can click Update email address in the domain name's Admin Email column.

  7. Click OK. We update our records and resend the transfer IDs to your admin email address.
  8. Click OK.
