Disabling FastCGI in Your Hosting Account

FastCGI can break older versions of PHP and PHP-based applications and cause internal server errors.

You can disable FastCGI in your hosting account. Disabling FastCGI can help speed up your site and make it live again.

NOTE: Fastcgi must be enabled for accounts running PHP 5.3.x.

To Disable FastCGI in Your Hosting Account

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Web Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
  4. In the Settings section, click File Extension Management.
  5. Select .php4, and then click Edit.
  6. Select PHP 4.x from the list, and then click OK.
  7. Select .php, and then click Edit.
  8. Select PHP 5.2.x from the list, and then click OK.
  9. Select .php5, and then click Edit.
  10. Select PHP 5.2.x from the list, and then click OK.
