Unfortunately, we can't respond through the iOS App Store, so we've collected the most representative of your questions and answered them below. If you've got feedback, feel free to leave a comment here, or start a thread in our forum. (Remember, if you're having trouble, we have world-class phone and email support standing by.)
Q: Are Mail notifications broken? They don't work for me.
A: Mail notifications are not yet implemented. This function is in development and should deploy soon.
Q: Is there a way to add attachments, like pictures?
A: Yes, in iOS, simply click the paper clip icon in the subject line. In Android, attach is available in the overflow menu.
Q: Can I use email templates with the Go Daddy application?
A: No, our mobile application does not support email template usage at this time because our email doesn't output HTML.
Q: Does the Go Daddy Mobile App let me add a custom signature to the bottom of emails?
A: Yes. On Android, you can add your custom signature by tapping the overflow menu on the message list or compose screens, selecting account settings, and then checking Auto-insert Signature. On iOS, tap Account on the top right, open your settings, and then tap Auto-Insert Signature.
Q: Can I create folders in my Email using the Go Daddy Mobile App?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Can I add multiple email accounts?
A: Yes. On Android, from the Account Settings screen at the top right, tap Change. On iOS, tap Account on the top-right, and then tap Change in the window that displays. Remember to select Keep me logged in.
Q: Is there an easier way to purge deleted messages?
A: We're working to have a purge function added to the Folders view for both Bulk Mail and Trash. In the meantime, you can select all messages by tapping the circle next to the Folder Name, and then purge.
Q: Is there an easy way to switch between email accounts?
A: From the message list screen, tap Account on the top-right, and then tap Change. Your accounts display here. Remember, to save your information, you have to select Keep me logged in for each account you want saved.
Q: How do I forward an email?
A: Tap the Re: / Fwd: button.
Q: Where did the buttons at the bottom of the inbox go?
A: The buttons you are looking for aren't gone. They're just hidden until a message is selected. After you tap on a message, you see Reply, Move, Delete and more.
Q: Can I see the unread emails for each account in the account switching screen?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Why doesn't the App return to the inbox after deleting a message?
A: We may include that preference in a future release. Meanwhile, you can swipe or select a message in the folder view to delete.
Q: Why are links in my emails inactive?
A: Hyperlinks only display as active in incoming emails.
Q: How can I access my contacts from the Go Daddy App?
A: Click Account on the top-right. From here, you can access the contacts on your device. Alternately, you can click the plus symbol (+) to the right of the contact field to add contacts from your email account or from your device.
Q: I wanted an app that was more like the site manager; will it get this functionality?
A: We are always working to continuously improve our applications based on customer feedback. We are working on lots of product management integrations, but have no ETA on their various releases. Stay tuned!
Q: Does the Go Daddy Mobile App integrate with Online Storage and Calendar?
A: Yes. On Android, you can access your Calendar from the Menu button when you are in the Go Daddy Mobile App. Tap Account Settings, and then tap Calendar. Online Storage is coming in a future release. On iOS, you can access Calendar and Online Storage by tapping the Global Menu (3-bar icon), from anywhere in the app.
Q: Why does the Go Daddy Mobile App on Android need additional permissions?
A: For the Go Daddy Mobile App to access the contacts on your phone, you must grant permissions to do so. We never use these permissions for marketing or otherwise. For more information, please see the App description in Google Play™.
Q: Why do I keep getting logged out of my account?
A: Be sure to select Keep me logged in when you enter your username and password for each account where you want to remain logged in.
Q: Can I add new or alias domains to my hosting account?
A: At this time, you can add subdomains but not alias domains.
Q: Mail Notifications?!
A: We know. We're working hard to deliver this functionality as soon as possible.
