I suggest each individual backup job be allowed to chose where on the online storage it is to be stored.

For example, on your computer you have a folder on your C: drive called Stuff, within it you have a sub folder called Photos.

Then perhaps you also have a folder on C: called Work, and a sub folder called Documents.

Traditionally if you chose to backup just the folders Photos and Documents they would both appear side by side in your backup folder.

However with my suggestion you could create folders in your online storage called Work and Stuff and you could choose to upload Photos to the Stuff folder and Documents to the Work folder and keep a similar file structure as to your computer, or even if you have multiple computers you could make a folder online called Computer1, Computer2 (or what ever) for each pc laptop etc you have and then put each backup into its own folders within there, to help you keep things organized.

To me having a main folder called _backup_ which then contains a sub folder named after your computer such as {compnamehere} and then the individual folders you choe to backup within that.

If you have on your pc several main folders each with several sub foldrs but you dont want to backup every sub folder only a few in each main folder, your going to run into problems for example.

C:main1sub1

and

C:main2sub1

May have the same name but different contents, now if it uploads the folders to the same location online with the same name and you have chosen to overwrite then one lot of content may get deleted if it is the same, or renamed if you chose that, when it would be much better to tell the backup, sub1 from main1 goes into folder main1 online and sub1 from main2 goes into folder main2 online.

Rather than just sticking them all under a folder named after your computer, within a backup folder.
