Want to use the Quick Shopping Cart® administration application on the go? Want to be able to process orders and manage products from your smart phone? We’d like your input on the features and functionality you’d like to see in a Quick Shopping Cart admin app for mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.

Consider these questions:

  • Would you be likely to use a Quick Shopping Cart mobile admin app?
  • What Quick Shopping Cart administrative functionality would be most important to have in the app?
  • What administrative functionality would be least important?

Vote this idea up or down and leave a comment to tell us what you think.

I would definitely use the app. I think all admin functions under Set Up, Manage, and Promote menus would have to be available. The intent for me would be to manage any aspect of my site from a remote location without having to have access to a PC. If forced to prioritize, Managing orders would have to be top priority and promoting the least priority.

Sounds good. I would mostly use an app like this to process orders as they come in or are shipped.

I would really like to see some way to provide either an RSS feed to my WT mobile site – for example, New Products Added This Week – either a feed or a widget that automatically updates. The ability to have this customizable widget in the QSC app would be great for sales.

My opinion for the least important admin function(s) would be all the processes that are set up at the beginning and updated only infrequently, such as your store settings, Welcome message and meta tags for the site.

More important to offer a mobile version of QSC to our customers. Please don’t spend time on an admin app until this is done. We are losing sales daily by not having a mobile friendly version of QSC for our mobile customers to shop on.

Please consider mobile=friendly methods of checkout too.

Once there is a viable mobile app for customers then a mobile admin app would be helpful but I would personally resent time and resources being spent on the admin side before the consumer side.

I agree with SwimSuit 1000%. Please make mobile QSC a top priority!

I would use this app for sure. Traveling and finding internet connections to manage your orders can be tricky.

  • by HB Admin on May 14th, 2011

I agree – A consumer based mobile app first – Then admin!

  • by Xinify on June 1st, 2011

I would like to see the admin app asap. When orders come in we need to see details and capture funds remotely. The consumer side of the cart works fine on android phones. I have not tested it for other phones.

Very disappointed with the mobile app. Make it functional for account management not just Go Daddy trying to sell me something I have already purchased or am not interested in purchasing. Add ability to view orders and adjust shipping information. I would say everything besides a complete website design tool. A design setup would be nice though.

Mobile Friendly QSC. This would be amazing. Also, We want to add a drop down menu or Text-Field to checkout on the same page as Special Instructions so our customers can tell us where they saw us or how they found us.

mobile version of site for customers would be HUGE!!!

  • by MaterialGirl on August 10th, 2011

Great idea! I would use it all the time. Mobile for the admin…mobile for the customer next?

QSC mobile for customer first! We want more money first. Then we’ll mess with admin. on-the-go.

    PLEASE!!!?

  • by RR007 on September 28th, 2011

Yes, please focus on the QSC mobile for customers first. This is how many people are shopping now. Then admin next.

Also, please look at improving the QSC shipping functionality. We need much more versatility for various situations.

We need this app ASAP, also would love to integrate the QSC with Facebook, as is on the GoDaddy fan page!

  • by garuda on October 26th, 2011

more than that, we would love it if OUR CUSTOMERS could SHOP on our sites using mobile devices such as iphone.

  • by LightingGuy on December 1st, 2011

I agree with all the people calling for a mobile version of QSC for the customer. I don’t want to have to find another shopping cart provider in order to get this feature, but the economics of the matter may force me to. GoDaddy is usually ahead of the curve on most things, but it’s falling behind on this area.

Just Do it! We Need It!

  • by tamark on February 4th, 2012

I agree needed, but here’s one why can’t I optomize my site to be mobile capable, something about javascript, what’s going on I want my customers to be able to browse from thier phone, why is this not possible?

  • by MaterialGirl on February 8th, 2012

I would really like to see a web app for my qsc.

  • by azmondan on February 14th, 2012

I like this idea but also add comments and rating to our sites. It would give quick shopping cart businesses more sales/new customers. The new customers see how many other people were happy, and they also buy from that store.

  • by Mikejones110 on February 15th, 2012

    Customer version is a first please;

    I have created a mobile friendly product catalogue for our quick shopping cart;

    How I did it:
Without access to the product databases on the quick shopping cart servers; I downloaded the excel sheets with product info in them. I took product title, product long description, price, image, and categories fields and put them into another excel sheet. I then imported this excel sheet into a mySql database and created PHP pages to display the product data and styled it with css for mobile devices. Basically a few steps away from making a shopping cart from scratch. I update our product database every 2 weeks.

With access to the product databases on QSC servers we could skip this step and use 1 database with all product info and even process orders. Unfortunately with a close sourced program like Quick Shopping Cart; developers are unwilling to grant access to server side files and databases.

Common godaddy make us 3 mobile templates so customers can view our products from their mobile devices.

    cheers,
    MJ

I strongly believe we need a mobile app for quick shopping cart. STAT!

  • by weightlossdoc on February 18th, 2012

I strongly agree with the mobile app folks…in fact, as a newcomer to QSC, I am surprised, nearly astonished, that one isn’t already in place. If we know the GoDaddy team, they are fast and furious working on it now. A great company and always there for support. We graciously request this, since mobile retailing is already everywhere, and certainly the way the world is heading. Thanks.

  • by superscooter on March 5th, 2012

I help my collegue to put some pressurre here. We need QSC for mobile!

  • by azmondan on March 10th, 2012

I would like this but i thought there would be more votes(for quick shopping cart) like “comment / reviews” or force login for customers (when they want to make a purchase) or related to those things.

  • by NARRacingPicks on April 7th, 2012

I would use the QSC Admin App daily if it was on the Android Platform. Sorry, but not everyone wants the Mac OS. What would be awesome is to be able to do the whole thing from mobile–including configuring downloadable products and bulk add. That way, I could finally take a vacation!

  • by mlaney on June 2nd, 2012

Yes to QSC for mobile support. The way of the future is NOW. Mac OS and Android please.

  • by ReptileMogul on August 30th, 2012

Does this exist yet? This is vital to my business. I want to be able to add a product by taking a picture on my phone, then simply selecting the title, category, price, etc. and it uploads in one step! Also deleting or hiding products would be a bonus!

  • by Gunderud48 on September 25th, 2012

This day and age, to not have the ability to check orders, confirm orders or admin. my business on the go with my iphone has come as a shock to me. Godaddy has the best customer service i have ever had and hope that these concerns are approached with positive results for the small business owners on the go. I use my iPhone for so much, because the days of lugging around a laptop are long gone. Having access to my business at all times and all places is vital to its survival. Thank you

  • by davidcp on November 8th, 2012

Absolutely! I came here now because I was looking to see if there was a mobile app available. I needed it today. You can use a browser but it could be so much simpler. I just want to be able to check and manage orders remotely, nothing else.

  • by SwimSweat on November 10th, 2012

Now that the developers have enabled a mobile version of QSC to our customers (good job by the way, especially allowing advanced CSS for mobile) I would love to see a mobile app for the administrative side. All of us are on-the-go these days and being able to access the major administrative functions of QSC would be of great help.
