Comments on: Set Expiration on Links

I have called in many times, and asked to have control over the expiration of the links that are created for download. I have shared many ideas by way of phone and email over the numerous years as a GoDaddy client. I would like to share a few options:

1. Set Expiration date (any date). Meaning anytime in the future.

2. No Expiration

3. Change Password for the links whenever you like instead of removing the link, and recreating it.

4. Client section where we can add clients by email address and assign them a
special password. We then create folders for clients and grant them access to specific folders for download only, and have a report to know who logged in and downloaded the files. Number 4 would simply be awesome and my ultimate preference.

These are really important for us, since we have clients that purchase software products from us and want access to the links.

I have need of this feature. Set up like an autoresponder with a start and end date. Would be one less thing to worry about.

Yes, I’m all for placing expiration timeframe on links.That would give some comfort to those of who are handling multiple projects and forget to remove the share after the project is complete.

Yes it will be greatfull.Also it will be very helpfull if the user can define the period of expiration

I would like that as a page function. For example if I have a promotion on my radio show for the next 24 hours, I would like to preset a time for it to go live and then dark/switch to an oops you took to long feature page which I could then flip them to a shopping cart to buy the info.

Yes, I’m surprised it’s not already available. Please do so, and go with the ‘expire by date option’ as it would be WAY more flexible.
