Finding Your Hosting Account's Absolute Path

Your absolute hosting path specifically points to your hosting account on our server's file system. Various applications or scripts may need your absolute hosting path to function.

To Find Your Absolute Hosting Path

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click Web Hosting.

Click one of the following, based on the type of hosting you have. You can tell this by the second word in your hosting's description beneath your hosting account's domain name, e.g. Deluxe Web correlates to Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel).

Web/Classic (Hosting Control Panel)

  1. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  2. In the Server Details section, click Show details.

Your absolute hosting path displays in the Absolute Hosting Path section.

Linux (cPanel)

cPanel absolute hosting paths are:

/home/username/public_html/

Where username is your hosting account's username. For more information, see Finding Your Hosting/FTP Login or User Name.

Windows (Plesk)

Parallels Plesk Panel absolute hosting paths are:

G:\PleskVhosts\[your account's primary domain name]\httpdocs
